Welcome to the Long Ashton Horticultural Society

Since 1919, the Long Ashton Horticultural Society has been promoting flower and vegetable growing, bringing members of the local community together to learn from each other or just for enjoyment. The centrepiece of our year is our Annual Show, a chance for anyone to share the amazing things that they have grown, cooked, photographed or made.  Saturday 5th September 2026 will be our 100th show! But we do so much more across the year, holding events and talks on a range of subjects including wildlife and crafts. Even if your 'garden' is just a couple of flower pots, there's plenty for you to enjoy.

Coming soon

Our next event

We've had our last event in 2025, but it won't be long before we're starting to look forward to spring and another gardening season!

To blow away the winter blues, Richard Lancaster will be returning to host a quiz night for us on Thursday 15 January 2026.  You don't have to be a trivia genius so please come along as it's an opportunity to get friends and family together for a bit of fun.  Email Mary for more information and to book your places.

Our schedule of 2026 events is now available - see the table of diary dates for Jan-June or download all the details.
